Gradebook Beta Program
Applies To: Plus Grade

Version 4 of School Loop's Gradebook will be available in beta format for the 2009 - 2010 school year. Initially, the beta program was limited to a maximum of 5 teachers per school. This limitation has been removed and the all teachers are invited to participate. Please keep in mind that that this is still a "beta" version, which means it is subject to revisions and some features may lack the polish of the finished product. With that said, we feel that the new gradebook is very close to being a finished product and that we are past the point of making major changes.

Opting Users Into The Beta

manange_rollout.pngOnly administrators have the ability to opt teachers into or out of the gradebook beta. Look for the new Manage Gradebook Rollout link in your toolbox.

From the list of teachers at your site, check the boxes next to the names of those who wish to be part of the beta program, and then click the Submit button.

Should a teacher wish to opt out of the beta at a later date, simply return to this page and uncheck the box next to that teacher's name and then click the Submit button.

It is safe to opt users into the new version of the gradebook either before or after using the current version of the gradebook. In other words, teachers will not lose settings or grades if they opt into the beta program. Opting out is also safe although all new features will be lost and will revert back to current gradebook defaults. For example, the new gradebook allows teachers to create multiple grade scales that may be applied to individual students. If a teacher in the beta program opts out, all students in that gradebook will revert back to the default grade scale applied to their class.
