Submitting Work Online
Students can submit work for any gradebook assignment via School Loop directly to the teacher’s account. An archive is kept with date and time stamps of each submission for the student and the teacher.
Note: For Gradebook Plus users - students cannot submit files to calendar-only assignments.
When a student clicks on the name of an assignment from their portal calendar or from the Task List: Current Assignments on their Dashboard, they will find two Submit Work links; From Your Locker and From Your Device After clicking one of the links, the student will be able to browse for the file in their locker or on their computer for the file that he or she wants to submit (files can be in any format and can include Word documents, pdfs, media files, etc.).
Once the file has been submitted, the file will appear in the Dropbox at the top of the student page. Each file is displayed with a date and time stamp of the submission, a link to the assignment to which it was submitted, and the title of the work submitted. If a student resubmits the work, it will overwrite previous submissions.
Using Locker Documents
With our new Locker Document feature, students can turn in work from within School Loop without having to upload external documents. This is particularly good news for iPad and iPhone users, since uploading files from the device is not supported by mobile Safari. Teachers can also view and grade turned in locker documents right from the assignment or student scoresheet. Here's how it works.
Students will go to the Locker icon at the top of their portal, select Save Resources and then choose Document from the pull-down menu. A familiar RTE element opens up with some common formatting options. Give it a title, type your content and click Submit.
Once the document is in the locker, it can be submitted the same way as any other file in the student locker. School Loop documents can be distinguished from other uploaded files by the document icon.
Each document can only be submitted once, but the student can go back and edit the document by using the Edit button on the bottom left. Teachers will be able view updated versions of the turned in document.
Students can see the date of the version they are viewing on the top left and can choose to view any saved version using the View Version pull-down menu on the right.

Accessing Submitted Work
You will find all work turned in for a particular assignment on the Assignment Scoresheet. You can get to the Assignment Scoresheet by clicking the name of the assignment either in the Assignments list on the course center or in the gradebook. In addition, to submitted work, you can also view any discussion posts the student has made for that assignment on the Assignment Scoresheet. A third way is to click the assignment in your calendar, and then click View Submissions on the View Assignment page. You can also click a student's name within your gradebook to see a list of all work turned in by that student on the Student Scoresheet.
Submitting Work Online (from online file storage services)
Submitting work using an iPad presents a problem since the iPad does not have a file directory structure. Safari and most other browsers, do not give the option to browse for files when uploading files to most websites, including School Loop. A workaround for this lack of file structure is to use a browser called iCab. This browser is available from the Apple apps store ($1.99).
Using iCab, work can be submitted from the student's personal locker or from an online storage service such as DropBox.com (http://www,dropbox.com). The example below illustrates using iCab to submit from the student's personal locker to an assignment.
1. Using iCab, log into your School Loop account and open My Locker.
2. Browse to the file in your locker and long press the file to open iCab's context menu, then select Download File.
3. On the student's portal page calendar or current assignments list, tap an assignment, then on the assignment details page, tap the Submit Work: From Your device link.
4. Tap Select File then tap the name of the file to be uploaded.
5. Link is created; Tap Submit. Success message received.
6. At the top of your portal, open your Dropbox to view submission.
